Goethe-Institut
As a globally active cultural institute of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Goethe-Institut is committed to promoting mutual understanding between Germany, Europe and the world. The 151 Goethe-Instituts in 98 countries work in cooperation with numerous partner organisations.

The Goethe-Institut's activities are structured around three pillars.
German language teaching: we support German language teaching in more than 100,000 schools worldwide and promotes the continuing education and qualification of German language teachers. More than 500,000 people worldwide take German examinations at the Goethe-Institut every year.
Cultural activities: in various countries, we organise around 20,000 events per year as part of international cultural exchanges, in cooperation with local partners.
Information: through digital information and learning services in more than 60 languages and a network of 95 libraries, we provide opportunities to learn, meet and participate. It embraces innovative technologies and exploits the potential of digitization and the impact it has on people and society.
